Lawrence A. Pray Builders

Lawrence A. Pray is a second-generation builder who continues the family tradition of providing quality home construction. Building in Southern New Jersey from Medford Lakes to Cape May for the past 42 years, Lawrence A. Pray has earned the well-deserved reputation as one of Southern Jersey ’s premier developers and builders.

Larry—as he’s known to his clients—began his training early, when at the age of 12 he started working alongside his father in his business, Shawnee Builders in Burlington County. He graduated from cleaning to learning to roof, side, trim, paint, landscape, and sheetrock. He gained more experience working for other builders and by age 20 could do all jobs just about on his own. After ten more years of working for his father’s company, he started Lawrence A. Pray Builders, Inc. when his father retired.

To this day, Larry continues to have a hands-on project management style. He can be found on any given day working side by side with his competent staff, overseeing subcontractors and ensuring that the home is built with quality and according to plan.
